first call's estimate for the quarter is $.65. geac's earnings in the fourth quarter last year was the same... $.65. i'm a bit puzzled by this! earnings in the previous quarters this year have all been higher than the same quarter last year. so what happened this quarter? perhaps this is an "opportunity" in that geac has a pretty good history of beating the estimates.... and this estimate isn't/shouldn't be too hard to beat. i guess we'll know july 7th after the market closes when results are released. i guess we can take comfort in the fact that there has been no prerelease of missed earnings. mind you, the market behaved the last two months as if there had been!! comments anyone!?
