Jean,

Don't know Jean. Been trying to find any info pertaining to that scanner... NO ONE IS TALKING. I remember an article that NEC was using, going to use, was partnering, is partnering with another provider. Can't find the story so can't confirm...

Jean,

Found the article...

"Optical techniques are moving beyond government applications into the mainstream of the computing market. NEC Technologies Inc. last week uveiled the TouchPass system for Windows NT, which uses fingerprints in place of passwords to give users access to secure applications. NEC linked up with American Biometric Co. (Ottawa), which uses CCDs in its BioMouse scanner. But it is looking to silicon."
