Let me help clarify this issue for you Ghunk. On a football team each player bring different strengths and weaknesses to the game. The key thing for the coach to do is identify those strengths and weaknesses and set them up to the team can win. So now if you have no coach for the team, and the player's strengths have to be determined by themselves; the question is do you REALLY think they know what strengths & weaknesses are??? They may think they do, but there is nothing better than having an unencumbered coach with a good eye. Well I guess the reason I'm asking now is because Dave seems to be the coach, and the team, of not one but at least two companies. With a bunch of board members really aren't going make these babies fly if they continue to do exactly what they're doing. Who really knows if he has even what he should have done different to save MGR let alone GMD. I really hate to bring this up again but do you think Bre-X would have been $280 a share if it totally up to Felderhoff? I think Walsh played a big part along with some other key players. Do you think if Jimmy Pattison or Peter Monk were looking for gold, that either one would have the first clue as to what to look for? Not a chance. Why? Because their specialty is business, finance, making a company profitable. Do you think they would even bother looking? Probably not, because they know their better strengths can be used in a better way. So as for your question. Anybody can run a company, and lots of them get started up, and approximately 8 out of ten get run into the ground! So I hope this strengthens my weak logic you refered to.
