Andy, I use to own Gateway stock...took a REAL BATH on it last year and have since VOWED never to return. Dell may not be giving us the large jumps lately but when it does move upward it really moves. Since I only follow the price of GTW I have no idea what is driving its value up right now...especially when Compaq is trading at almost half the price. That is exactly what happened when I bought GTW..it was moving rapidly and then without warning it tanked. I've never had that happen with Dell...only been in a year but I've discovered what so many other investors have been preaching..it is a strong company with a CEO who REALLY is interested in his investors. Good luck and if you make a move...be sure to do it without emotion.. "knee-jerk" reactions can kill your portfolio. T.R.
