John, glad to see that I got your attention. You make many fine points in your posting. I only hope you are correct, as I would like to see all the Dell investors, including myself, get as rich as Michael Dell and his executive staff. Lets not forget all the other employees that are making "tons" of money with their stock.

As I said before, Dell is a fine company, and I sure hope the Street continues to agree.

John, he's trying to save his company from certain peril (MUEI). It's kind of like a battleship retreating from a battle, while there is still an engine room left to power away. The DELL fleet is leaving them behind on the trek to Tokyo (metaphor).

re DELL growth at 5xIndustry Rate.

I do not recall seeing that. Can someone repost the URL? Thanks.

As you all know, I am as bullish on DELL as anyone (except maybe Kemble and LoD <g>), but we do need to be careful we don't hype ourselves! We must be sure to treat reputed data as rumor until verified or substantiated, regardless of the slant. The only difference between bullish rumor and bearish rumor is that bullish rumor is far more dangerous because we WANT to believe it. If we cease to request substantiation for bullish as well as bearish rumor, we are riding for a very hard fall indeed.
