The key is a hostile takeover. That is what they are defending themselves against. With CYCH at such a low price it might be tempting for a financial Corp. to make a cash tender offer. With the poison pill in place the buyer must make a favorable offer that pleases management. This should in the long run increase shareholder value. This is how I see it.

Jeff,

Another way to look at it is that management does not see CYCH as fairly valued at this price, hence the poison pill.

In any event, you should own this stock if your DD and own thoughts conclude you'll make more money here than in other opps available to you.
