I beg to differ.

IBM set a high of around $170 in 1987 (uncorrected for splits).

As they spiraled downward, their stock sunk to about $47 (uncorrected) until Lou Gerstner took over - in 1993/1994.

IBM didn't recover to their 1987 high until around 1997 - a 10 year hiatus for the stock.
