Jimily, from the news release I don't think the WinAid98 is free. Yes I know about the download but does it need a key to unlock the software. I don't have Win98 yet so I have no need to test this just yet.

Brandi from SYCR said upgrade Aid 98 would be in the Comp USA and other large electronic stores within one to two weeks. It is currently available now thru Tiger Direct and other online distributors as well as from the SYCR web site.

I also strongly encourage anyone considering Win 98 to get a copy. It can save a lot of headaches as Win 98 is not the nirvana it is touted to be.

If they can advertise this product much at all it can do well. It really works.
