I invested in a SMSC back in 1995 and I received a notice through E*Trade from a laywer for compensation.

I'm going to make money on this stock. This is a bloody mess and NO ONE wants it, except me! :-)

Yes I am the Tom D who started this thread....

I wish I never was associated with it, because of the dishonesty of management. It is very difficult for investors to know if management is honest or not.

It is not unusual for a rapidly growing company to have a bumpy ride. Once investors perceive that such a thing is happening, they can decide to hang on for the rough ride, or get out with a modest loss. It is a whole different story when you have got dishonesty involved.
