But the caller approached Netscape asking them if they should deal with Zulu. They didn't approach them "cold" saying that they wanted to buy ad space, and asking how to do that.

Actually Jon, I did approach as cold as I could in my follow up to the original message cross posted from Yahoo. I simply asked if they handled ads internally or outsourced them. Here's the message (from #9630 on this thread) again:
