Ron, its like really trendy bars, easy to set up,easy to go to another. There is very little barrier to entry into the market, lots of competition, and the killer app is the stock market.
Next week's hot internet site, may look totally different to today's. I am using a lot more of CBS marketwatch,a great site, and good content for us.And the industries I follow also, like telecom.
But if I am not looking up stock info anymore, which I am trying not to do,then why am I on the web? I am starting to delink from things, cut off my cable. Soon I hope to disconnect from the web,and go outside again, and see the sunshine.
I hope I can go sailing alot more, and get on the high seas. Life is short,I am personally too connected to things that do not matter.
We have information overload,we stay connected 24 hours a day,cell phones,internet,work,beeper, I want out(notice I am hypocritical,still posting though).
Help me,is there a "chatter's anonymous".
Hiram

I heard that Microsoft is also going to offer a more complete search area on their Web site similar to Yahoo. It seems like there will never be a shortage of competitive threats to Yahoo and the like. It's just so easy to set up such a capability. If the money is there more will come.

FWIW, I use Yahoo everyday also but the hits that they tally from me don't do squat for their advertisers. I expect that 90% of the traffic does not follow the links to advertisers.
