If Cannacord is doing a financing here it is often standard practice to short sell first. This accomplishes two things: it obviously weakens the stock to a more attractive issue price(?) and it means that they can support the price by covering later.

Canacoors is the MM on WSP paper. A good MM is always short on his paper. The financing rumor is for a VSE company! I don't believe it to be WSP that's looking for the 50 Mil! fIXER

Canacrook should know better than to short a stock they intend to sell anyway. Makes you think they are just a bunch of no good for nothing stock brokers.
