And this is a company that just reported an expected loss through 98. This is why I never short anything. You could devote several books to why the Nasdaq has risen throughout the 90's despite repeated tech disappointments. So far, the market has consistently adjusted the PE upward enough that NASDAQ has kept pretty good pace with the DOW. Apparently, the "story" is enough. The "New Information Age"; "computers taking over the world"; etc. In reality, computers have changed and improved the world. But in a way that implies generally SMALLER capitalizations for each given company, not larger ones.
