I've learned to disregard most everything management says. They are not going to say anything bad about their company.

That being said, if things aren't going that well, they shouldn't be proclaiming the opposite.

It implicitly constitutes a lie, and their reputation is severely damaged.

It will take a very long time to recover here. SEEC management credibility has been severely injured; time will tell if it has been a mortal wound.
