Here are some of my favorite Dylan lyrics that seem to
comport with my libertarianism:

A]
Oh the time will come up
When the winds will stop
And the breeze will cease to be breathin'.
Like the stillness in the wind
Before the hurricane begins,
The hour that when the ship comes in.

And the sea will split
And the ships will hit
And the shoreline sands will be a-shaking.
Then the tide will sound
And the waves will pound
And the morning will be breaking.

Oh the fishes will laugh
As they swim out of the path
And the seagulls they'll be a-smiling.
And the rocks on the sand
Will proudly stand,
The hour that the ship comes in.

And the words that are used
For to get the ship confused
Will not be understood as they're spoken.
For the chains of the sea
Will have busted in the night
And will be buried at the bottom of the ocean.

A song will lift
As the mainsail shifts
And the boat drifts on to the shoreline.
And the sun will respect
Every face on the deck,
The hour that the ship comes in.

Then the sands will roll
Out a carpet of gold
For your weary toes to be a-touchin'.
And the ship's wise men
Will remind you once again
That the whole wide world is watchin;.

Oh the foes will rise
With the sleep still in their eyes
And they'll jerk from their beds and think they're dreamin'.
But they'll pinch themselves and squeal
And they'll know that it's for real,
The hour that the ship comes in.

Then they'll raise their hands,
Sayin' we'll meet all your demands,
But we'll shout from the bow your days are numbered.
And like Pharoah's tribe,
They'll be drownded in the tide,
And like Goliath, they'll be conquered.

B]
The trail is dark and dusty
The road it's kind of rough,
But the good road is a-waiting
And boys it ain't far off.

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.

I walked out to the valley,
I turned my head up high.
I seen that silver linin'
That was hangin' in the sky.

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.

The evenin' dusk was rollin',
I was walking down the track.
There was a one-way wind a-blowin'
It was blowin' at my back.

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.

The gravel road is bumpy,
It's a hard old road to ride,
But the clearer road's up yonder
With the cinders on the side.

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.

The morning train was movin',
The hummin' of its wheels,
Told me of a new day
Coming across the fields.

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.

C]
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
And if your breath to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pens
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
Cause the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside ragin'.
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand.
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road's
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
Cause the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slowest now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Willl later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
Cause the times they are a-changin'.

Actually, many of the names you mentioned DO support greater individual rights. As you stated, the gov't is to offset the will of the MAJORITY...when did an individual become a majority?
Read some past posts. Government's role is to PROTECT the rights of the MINORITY....Locke, Rousseau, etc....
Perfect for a Libertarian.
