jim, I think the guys 'next door' had the full text for this yesterday. I'm not sure what to think...haven't studied it enough. My guess is that they're doing research with 'the core'. 3Com isn't in this part of the network, but they have to interface with it, so they have an interest. Also, they have rights to the new technology. And so does NN & Siemens which will be teaming up strongly with 3Com. BTW, COMS also has an interest in COMS21...they do cable modems and networking equipment for the small businesses. I guess these type of activities are ways for 3Com to do Research and keep it's foot into anything that might be related to them. >> TotalControl with Juniper router could be a great combination...<< Your probably right, but my glimpse at Juniper was that it makes the software designing...not sure if it does hardware (router). COMS seems to have lots of good things like this for '99. But we need some help with '98<g> I'll look into Juniper when time permits. Thanks for bringing it up. joe
