Stock Bull, let me put it this way: So what? The consequences of disappointing investors is well known. It's true of every stock. Name one company that doesn't have identical risks (except for the networkers -- they seem to be risk free, gravity-free balloons). That's why I say big deal.

Dell is no more finely tuned than any other company. Dell's earning last quarter were disappointing only to those who expected higher earnings. Remember, Dell uses analysts to guide expectations, and those analysts dutifully responded with their cogent analysis, and Dell dutifully responded by beating the bar that it had itself set. That's the way the game is played. So if you expected them to earn $.47 you were mightily disappointed. But if you expected them to earn $.41 you were pleased as punch.

TTFN,
