Stock prices are based on future expectations (about growth in sales, earnings, market share etc...). Many of the analysts and investors have very high expectations for this amazing growth company. Yet, Michael Dell and his team have given us good reasons that they will continue to surprise and delight all of their stakeholders. This company is running on all eight cylinders. They have proven that and they will continue to prove that.

IMO, it is very dangerous to bet against DELL. It is like trying to predict when MSFT will make a major mistake. They rarely do. DELL (like MSFT) manages expectations very well.

Good Luck investing. I am very LONG on DELL and sleeping very well.

sb,

I expect that CPQ will continue to build the DEC around the Alpha chip. Intel has committed to producing the chip for several years. I wouldn't be surprised if those that are in 'love' with the Alpha chip don't fall in 'love' with Merced since it is my understanding that Merced will run both the Alpha software and x86 software. I may be incorrect here, but if that is so, Merced would prove to be a natural migration path for old DEC users. JMHO - however.

regards,

Ken
