Mr. Bearded One ,

I work with a great deal of people who work with unix daily. Many of these people have 10's of years of unix experience. Myself I work with unix every day. 99 to 100% of those people know that unix days are numbered. They believe unix has peaked and within 5 years you will see a noticable decline in unix installations.

Even they are happy to go toward a more friendly administrative system such as NT. I know management will be happy to see unix disappear as it is hard to find unix people who know what they are doing to manage such an unfriendly system.

Unix has been around more than 30 years and will probably around for another 30 years. It's numbers will start to decline as NT becomes the choice of operating systems whether anyone here likes it or not.

As for Linux, it is really a none factor in the business world and most PC users (non techies) will never use it. If you believe Linux will ever challenge Microsoft, well then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Thank you

JK
