I smell signs of recession and a lowering by the Fed. Then again, I am at home, just back from a vacation visit to Chicagoland, made necessary by my employer telling me to take some vacation so they can clear some reserves (for accrued vacation - ask Pete to explain) off the books and have a better shot of hitting "expectations". Friends at other companies nearby are wondering about layoffs now that cutbacks might not have been enough (Intel, AMAT, Lam to name a few). I do not sense any sign of inflation. regards Kirk out suite101.com
