Bearded Lady,

I know you mean well....But replacing Randy would be a very poor Idea......Unless it was with Warren Buffett or Bill Gates or Steven Spielberg....or Buck.

Fowler has built IDX from scratch.....knowing that times like these would come. He bought Anadac to gain the revenue stream...and it was a good thing he did. He bought Fingerscan....and gained a great product that sells well world wide. He bought another company for software development and another for contract fingerprinting.

He has forged LONG term relationships with Oracle....NEC.....and Sylvan. All three are LEADERS in their industry.

Randy has made long term investments. He has/is building a company that will dominate the industry by surviving with strength while others are shrinking or going under.

I have followed IDX since the time when they were neck and neck with NRID. $1.00 stock....no sales.....big dreams. It was a toss-up. Just take a look at what has happened. IDX is now a $100 million in sales company....while NRID.....well, you know.

All of the biometric stocks have been hit. Hit hard....really hard in most cases. This is not Fowler's fault. He can't make the world embrace biometrics. All he can do is stay the course. Invest in the future....stay profitable....and prepare to take 80% of the market.

If the market ever explodes....Randy Fowler will be one of the smartest guys around.

I think all of the talk about booting him is either by folks who don't know what he has done....or are short the stock. There are plenty of both around.

Just me, folks.....I think IDX has been a baby that has been thrown out with the bathwater.

Well Bearded Lady, I will not shy from standing up for Dr. Fowler.
I have never met the man. I can tell you from personal experience though: He cares about the shareholders well being.
I am small fry so when a CEO answers an inquiry from ME, it tells me that he cares.
Why the stock is down in the mud, I really don't know all I know is that there are more sellers than buyers. It is through his efforts that IDX is so successful. IMO IDX is a sleeper. I think it is a 40 dollar stock that is not being recognized. Do they need a marketing firm? I don't think so they seem to be selling to the large buyers. Do they need a PR firm ? no again their presence when it becomes pervasive enough will attract the buyers.
Most of my small personal fortune is in IDX ( not my bread money ). what seems to be happening is that there are too many two bit players nibbling at the pie.
At forty and change I will sell in pieces for if I was to sell as a block the price will decline, believe me.
