the institutional ownership of this stock is extremely high (83.5%).
It may be lower than that now. Vantive has been trading to the downside with very heavy volume recently. That may be an indication that some of the institutions have decided to sell. Though no guarantee of bad news, it increases the worry level to see so much volume as it drops. The problem with heavy institutional ownership is that having many run for the exit at the same time can really drop the floor out from under the stock price.

With pure institutional ownership, when the selling starts it can get very severe. I looked at the debt situation and the overall balance sheet; it still looked ok to me in total.
