Mike,

Soros reportedly has taken a position in Lonrho Africa.

There is another mining company called Billiton, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Billiton was spun off from Gencor of South Africa. Two weeks ago Billiton said that it planned to buy back up to 10% of its shares. I believe that the Company is going to wait until a tax change in Britain becomes effective next April. I do not know whether Billiton has an ADR.

To All, I will be in Arkansas and off this forum for the next several days. I am attending the Burke family reunion in Hot Springs. At least I hope that's what it is and not just a trick by the FBI to get us all in one place. -g-

Good luck,

MB
