Hi, Jeff. Are we in a war? Good question. Since you addressed me, why not make some observations. Can you find a company doing substantial Y2K business that does not suffer from the burden of huge expectations, has not had a wildly speculative run in the past year, is not purported to have the sole solution for some particular niche, has never hyped their product or prospects, has substantial institutional support and a solid plan for post-y2k? Can you name one?

Good luck. These seem to be the elements of the armor that resist the slings and arrows of outrageous (mis)fortune.

Then there's this market. Topped out, in a trading range, spooked by Asia, merciless, ready to cash out in a New York minute.

Sell on the news, baby! And shoot the wounded.

But hey, I'm no seer. Just idle thoughts.

Very perceptive - a bloody war indeed, and I for one, have a severe case of battle fatigue. Getting wiped out in SEEC feels like the last straw, but I have felt like that before and before and before ...
