Gigi;
Thanks for your post. I'm anxious to hear what you think of the larger stones when you receive your order. The stones I have seen were about 4mm and were lovely.

I spoke to another jeweler after my last post, again a Floridian. Sole proprietor, gemnologist. He told me that he thinks the resistance to moissanite from some diamond jewelers is a product of fear and misunderstanding. He tells me that the C3 product will only impact the low end of the diamond business, someone who want an investment grade diamond always will and a manmade product will never be an investment piece as there is no limit to the quantity that can be produced. He thinks the big loser here will be ALL other simulants, they are so much less durable and so inferior visually that he thinks that industry will be wiped out by moissanite. He also mentioned that he has read that production a few weeks ago was running at 15,000 carats/ mo., that before the shipment of equipment that Hunter said would double capacity. At 30,000 carats/mo. sales... well, you do the math. And that's just the beginning, gives me spine tingles. I just bought more at $8.5

Les

Interesting..... I called the company to see about getting a stone to put in as a replacement in a ring that was damaged and I was told that moisannite was not yet available to the public and they would not give me a retail source to buy from..... I'll try to call again...
