MG, Trading certainly creates anxiety!

RE: SOX - Sometimes it is interesting where you draw the lines. If I draw an imaginary line from the Oct peak through the Feb peak, through the late Mar peak, and continue the line, suddenly presumed support became resistance. Of course, I have to conclude that April/May was an aberration; a great big outrider. Then again, maybe the imaginary line is just in my imagination. Only the future will tell.

RE: BA - Well maybe I learned something from that chapter of the book <g>. If it breaks through 50, I may even come back in. I would rather just put it in the bank when I feel the earnings report probably won't make folks happy. BA is a Missouri stock - management has got to show me that they finally learned something. When I look at Boeing from an FA perspective, I want to puke.

Re: Mo-Mo stocks - I actually found myself looking at the charts on these puppies today -- scary thought!

RE: BSC -- Late today I sold 1,000 of the 3,100 shares at 58 1/8. As well as BSC held up today, I just did not feel comfortable holding that many shares over the weekend.

I did put late afternoon bids in on MMM, DIS (it's like magic), and HWP. Alas, the only one I got was 600 shares of HWP at 57 3/8. My price would have actually been filled on the other two (below the bid at the time), I just waited a few minutes too long. You'd laugh if you saw the technology handicap I have to deal with. Hopefully, this problem will be taken care of next month.

All in all, a very entertaining week. The great thing is that I've been doing it for two weeks now and haven't had to eat a loss yet. Let's get ready to go for a turkey -- three in a row. I become more and more convinced that the decision to buy is the critical point.

Have a great three day weekend! I'll spend about 15 hours updating my list, but tomorrow I plan to just take a walk on the beach and relieve the stress.

MG, RE: Sectors

I don't feel I'm in a position now to play the sector indexes, but do believe the TA I'm using applies equally to these as to the individual securities within them. If the regional banks have a sector index, take a look at it. This was clearly one of the top performing sectors in both 1996 and 1997. However, the YTD performance has been really flat. Just based on observations, seems that this one exploded upwards today. I am fortunate to have suggested FRBFX to some folks in Oct, 1995. The fund looks like it was up 2% today. Not bad on a day like today.
