(COMTEX) B: Compaq Achieves 26 Percent Market Participation With Presario Success MEXICO CITY, Jul. 1 (El Financiero/Infolatina)-- Compaq's Presario series has been a big success in Mexico, and this year the company expects its sales to reach 250 million dollars, with a 26 percent share of the national market. Compaq is now concentrating on the educational,Internet and entertainment areas, which are of most concern to families, in order to increase its participation in the home PC market, the fastest growing in Mexico. The company's most important competitor in this sector is Acer, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Hewlett Packard (13 percent) IBM (six percent) Dell and Dec (two and one percent).
