I would assume it means no one knows. In the whole article in USA Today, as was already pointed out the only number mentioned was an estimate of 5 million ounces and that wasn't even a specific quote. If GE was so confident as they were in the last release, why not make those same claims in a national newspaper?

Could the gold be there? Sure. But do yourself a favor and realize that if the SEC halted trading after 3 days of Q&A, it was NOT because the evidence was overwhelmingly positive. There is much work to do. If nothing else accept that much.
