A peevish note to Schwab won't do any good. I tried to short
CCSI at 10 several times and they won't even try to find shares.
I also tried to short ENMD the day after the story at something
like 49,47,43 and 43 as it was plunging. Not only didn't
they find shares, but the guy on their "special service team"
gave me a little lecture about how flaky the stock was, since it
had traded at 2 the previous week. They can lecture me all day
if they come up with shares, but under the circumstances it was
just an extra irritation. When I complained, I got a brush-off
form letter email. OTOH, their fills are prompt and accurate.
