Japan PM pledges permanent tax cuts -- Jiji TOKYO, July 3 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Ryutaro pledged permanent income tax cuts, Japan's Jiji Press reported on Friday. ''I hope to have a permanent tax reform and that is the direction I think it will go,'' Jiji quoted him as telling a news conference on Friday in Kumamoto, southern Japan, where he was campaigning for July 12 parliamentary elections. Jiji said this indicated his intention to make permanent tax cuts.
