Some AGP & i740 Ammunition -FYI

" ...makes some excellent points about the drawbacks and all-around badness of the whole AGP/i740 thang. Check it out:
www2.tomshardware.com " quoting Devoid from the Motley Fool board

As a Mac person, I found that this link leads to an interesting article. Alas, I am out of my element. You Wintel types may already be familiar with the points made. Is there any weight to be attached to any of this?

Hal

S3 is in big, big trouble IMO. The earnings of that company need to support over 50 million shares of stock (vs 15 million for TDFX). I think TDFX (and others) will continue to steal what market S3 still has. Even if their next chip is all it is cracked up to be I doubt it will be enough to save the company.

TDFX is financially very strong - $6/share cash and no debt. S3 has about $2/share cash and some (not much) debt.

Also S3 is engaged with one of those ridicuous shareholder lawsuits that make lawyers rich.
