<<All this publicity could be attracting buyers, or at least some short term traders like Ron Harvey.>>
Basically what I think attracts many short-term traders is the trading, rather than any specific news the trading is based on. For instance, I made my earlier buy and sell today before I turned on my computer and learned there was news from Maisel. My news derived from the market action and a guess as to how other traders/investors/speculators would react to that. The stock movement, of course, reflected the news item. And then the movement became its own news as players would (I'm guessing) expect the possibility of a technical rebound into the 6's, 7's, or 8's. The stock seems due for a trading recovery, even if the bears' argument ultimately turns out to be more right than wrong. (Actually, it's less that I think the stock is due for a trading recovery than I believe that enough others think it to justify my betting that they'll make it happen. My bets tend to be based on my perception of others' perceptions. Of course, to make money I've got to beat them to it by a little bit and struggle to keep my decision unemotional. . . burning in hell aside.)
And if all this bores you, why did you read it all? . . . Don't answer.

<<btw, the J/M recommendation has not reached Yahoo News yet. Anybody know if it got wider release than briefing.com?

Bloomberg news is another one. The following is from Yahoo thread by gabblowyourhorn -- Message #4629

<<from Bloomberg news
'Chromatics Color Sciences International Inc. (CCSI) rose as much as 1 9/16 to 5 7/8 as analyst Peter Janssen at Janssen/Meyers Associates rated the medical-instrument maker a ''buy'' in new coverage. Janssen said the company was hurt by ''baseless statements'' from a report by Asensio & Co. -- which specializes in short-selling stocks -- that said Chromatics exaggerated the size of the market for its product that tests infants for jaundice. Janssen said Chromatics got wide approval at a recent pediatrics convention and has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration. Chromatics should be joining with a corporate partner soon to bring the product to market, Janssen added." >>
