Given Ligand's current development stage, the probability of bad news is pretty minimal. Unless Panretin and Targretin are found to be toxic, this stock is basically within 20% of its floor. The upside far outweighs the downside which makes it attractive to buy. Short-term (within 6 months), I'll wager that the stock will hit 15 barring an overall market slump. Long-term (over 1 year) the potential is also good, but as Fugazi keeps saying Ligand's probably gonna have to show some earnings before any significant move takes place.
