As for point to multipoint wireless communications, I reviewed last week in Nyborg, Denmark, a very special part of EEC Esprit's DG3 funding, named i3 (Intelligent Information Interfaces) : i3net.org.

Nokia is involved into a consortium with an i3 project "Maypole" worth looking at.
