Clark - there's an old joke regarding what is going on with people at the margin determining the "correct" price for U.S. 30-year Treasury bonds.

The line is : the average holding period for a 30-year bond is 55 seconds.

If you've ever seen GovPx figures for estimated trading volume of cash U.S. Treasuries (or, trading volume figures for the Board of Trade's bond futures), you'll realize maybe this "joke" is not actually a joke.

I would not be surprised if a lot of the "players" in YHOO right now have a time horizon of "the opening on the next trading session."

Jon.
