I haven't been to the Laguna Park but I've heard good things about it. You're right about Ford, unless things have changed. My own fishing experiences here have not been overwhelmingly successful, but I've heard that it can be very good, in the right place at the right time. I have a friend in Manila who's a good source on the subject; I'll ask him if you like. Let me know if you're coming to Subic. On the stumbling of infant democracies I could say a good deal, more than I have time for now. In a lot of ways, when you look at the challenges they've had to overcome, they've done rather well at it. While these episodes do come up now and then, they always seem to roll by without permanent damage, often supplying a few laughs in the process. Just hope it continues that way. Could be a lot worse, IMO. Steve
