Dell certainly COULD do that but the question is SHOULD they. I think the answer is no. Dell can take advantage of nearly 50% of that market without changing current practice, and do it in a way that CPQ, IBM and HP will find hard to match. I enjoy watching the way MSD sticks the needle into the other guys, basically saying 'I'm going to take as much as I want of your low to midrange server market and there's nothing you can do to stop me'. A perfect example of a nimble low-inertia company dancing around the bigger players.
