The only problem with your statements is that ORCL has consistently BEATEN estimates...save for one recent quarter. Wall Street should have a strong prediliction to BELIEVE these estimates.

Oracle undervalued using
eduvest.com stock analysis tool:

Assuming the following parameters:

Long term debt: 305 million
Book value: $1.85 (Current assets/current liabilities?)
Current annual earnings for 1998: $1.15
Projected annual earnings for 1999: $1.35 (I knocked this back from the accepted price of $1.41 to be conservative)
Percentage growth of earnings: 17.3%
Current AAA bond rating: 6.45% (default parameter)
Number of years growth rate to be sustained: 1 yr (again conservative)

Results:

Value Point: $34.17/shr
P/E: About 25 (You will have to check the post at the site)
Relative risk: 1.27 (reasonable)

So there you have it.

rgds.
