LOL! Maybe you would use it, but I doubt very much that PartyTime could bear to not know what I am saying. :)

Actually, I think this feature would be quite useful, for blocking-out people who hype other stocks on the wrong thread, or who post "go XYZ!" posts or "sell this junk" without anything backing it up.

However, if you block somebody who has something substantive to say, that you do not agree with, you are only letting them get their viewpoint out to new participants, since you won't have the opportunity to respond to their points.

Which is perhaps as it should be. This would cut down on "ganging up" and trying to drown-out dissenting voices.

Yes, I support this feature 100%!

But what you are missing is that this feature ALREADY exists on SI. It just requires a bit of user education.

Steps to use the SI "ignore" feature:

1. List new posts
2. Look at author fields
3. Note which authors you don't want to read
4. Click on the OTHER posts

This feature (IGNORE Button) would come in very handy. Then I would no longer have to click past PartyTime's imaginative/speculative/worthless posts...

I'd probably use this feature for OC and PartyTime on this thread.
