Hi Chester, Knowing that you addressed the question to Brad, I hope you don't mind my weighing in with an opinion. The privacy issue that Brad mentioned has some validity simply because someone else's actions would become known to you. That person may not like it and have a problem with it. I personally don't, but the salad bowl of our population has a few nutty croutons who threaten litigation over trivialities like bad dressing. You never know what can happen these days. A fair compromise might be letting you know "the number" without revealing "who". On the other hand, it may not accomplish what you hope anyway, as far as a "barometer" of posting effectiveness. Looking over my own Peoplemarks, I see several different groups of people. 1. People I bookmark because they write compelling content about the markets. 2. People who have great info and smart ideas on ONE particular stock but seem to be idiots on all the rest. (so I follow for that one stock). 3. People I bookmark because we're friends, and although they don't write anything interesting about stocks, we just like to chit-chat 4. People who I think are witty. Not at all stock gurus, but I can count on them for a fun chuckle. 5. People who aren't friends at all, and I want to keep tabs on them specifically because they're not. I'm sure there are many other reasons that others have; these are just my own. Thus, the barometer idea may not have the accuracy you desire. -MrB
