Any serious short has plenty. This is Ridiculous. For the record I went short at 99 13/16 on 6/24 and again at 122 1/2 on 7/2. I was trying to short every silly +10 point gain above 100 but it kinda blew by 110 ;-). I'm waiting for earnings of related and AMZN, unless the accountants can make the earnings look good to "Joe Investor", It should falter a bit then. I'm hoping for the crash... but who knows! (and yes.. I'm boxed from a long around 50, tho the short will break the box if it goes to 130)

> The point is how much money do the shorts have to lose before they are prove right?

You're assuming that there will never be a new group of shorts.
Where will they get the cash to go short, you ask? By selling their Amazon of course! (and if this puppy ever turns, there will be a load of shares availabe for short).

The question isn't 'if', its 'when'
