Bill, I gather from a PM that not retaining bold and italics html tags is a MS IE (3?) problem. As for using the "back" button, that does work -- but only after you've edited the message at least once, i.e. comes down from the server.

I'll try MS IE 4 (on my laptop) and Netscape (I have it but rarely use it), and see what happens. If it's a browser problem then that would explain everything.
