CJS: The North American market has been difficult to penetrate. To increase Sales, they will have to lure a person who already has the Corporate contacts and a proven track record in high speed Network Sales. I was surprised that they pointed the gun before they had a replacement. Not a very clever move.

The full impact of replacing a senior Sales Exec by an outsider will only be realised 6 mths or more downstream.

Bringing in some fresh talent will be good for Newbridge !
Lets hope Mr. Lutz's work will translate into renewed ferver within Newbridge.

I agree. The next stage is to hire one of the industry's best. A quick glance at who Lutz might nab from Compaq brought up one name, Jim Schraith, North American VP and General Manager, who left the company earlier this year after setting record gains at the end of 97.

Where did he go? And would he be a possible candidate? Perhaps computer sales don't translate to ATM sales. These are issues beyond my ken.
