Take a closer look, that correspondence regards an Australian Patent. It is the Australian law firm informing AENG Pty (relation to AENG US or AENG Canada, if any, is unknown) that the inventor has assigned the Australian Patent to the Australian AENG. The US Patent Office is being served notice of that transfer.

When the reputable US law firm mentioned in the Australian Law Firm's letter confirms notice of US Patent Issuance then there would be something to evaluate vis a vis the other existing prior art in the US. Call the US law firm, the are a fairly reputable firm in Manhattan. If this looks like splitting hairs, it's not. AENG's website is very deceitful on this point. Or better yet, ask TRAV or Murray (Haaareee J. Finn?) at your peril, as doubting Thomases seem to get beheaded when they talk to those shysters.

<Being a typical Gov. agency the response was convoluted but from the folks I spoke with it sounded like 6 to 9 month is typical. Once the patent number are issued it will probably be 6 month before the PTO data base is updated to include these numbers. <

Generally they do take about 6 months to grant a patent, but the patent number and abstract are published on the day granted (always a Tuesday), usually by mid afternoon. You can search the US Patent Office database at:
