Just my observation, Jon, but the Qcom thread is about as community-like as any of the threads on SI. I suspect that if one was to go through the thread archives, one would note the same posters on a regular basis. The same people that have stuck with "the Q" (darn that Compaq!) during high tide and low tide have stuck with the thread. It's a wonderful blend of people from many different places in life and the planet, all woven into a high-quality, brightly colored tapestry (sniff, sniff; now I'm getting sentimental). It's also a rather complicated business and involves information that, for many, results in boredom setting in prior to comprehension. Contrast this with many of the threads that the momentum players move through like clouds of locusts. 500 posts this week on takeover noise; 15 posts next week after they've stripped the fields clean and moved on.
