Steve,

Right now AMD only has INtel to compete with in the 350/400 market (when and if they release). However, I have been lead to believe that NSM's fab is going to be quite capable of yielding these speed grades (and already has on test wafers). The means more downward pricing pressure on AMD. NSM however is about as low as you can go and the general public perception is that market share has been slipping for the cyrix product line.

Add the the 400 MII's a 300MHZ Media Gx and AMD is in big trouble (as like is Celeron, with the pending improvements to the Gx and the coming MXi).

That is a scaring proposition for any x86 semi stock investor. I didn't realize Cyrix could reach those speeds (400mhz) anytime soon. Are you sure about this? When is NSM expected to release a 400mhz?

I know what Intel will do, and it won't be a pretty sight for anyone. Some believe Intel will not cut prices, but I have no doubt they will.
