Gas is a better bet but in reality, when produced with the oil, revenue is considered in boe/day (barrels of oil equivalent). Say for example; oil is worth $14/barrel and gas is $2.85/kscf. Then depending on your oil/gas production ratio, your revenue boe/day might be $17 or $18.

When I said that a neaby rig burned, it was actually an hours drive away. In the oilpatch, an hours drive is "next-door". When I lived in High Level, AB. I drove 1-1/2 hours each way to work each day. It's not uncommon for rig workers who are working on rigs that are an hour or more's drive apart, to be staying in the same camp or hotel.

Rest assured, there shall be no usurpers horning-in on Westfort's digs.

Best Regards, AL.
