Man, you should be in public relations. You have a knack for putting a shine on ineptitude and squirming out of a tight spot. Well done.

For the record, Tandem, Olivetti and Canada Systems Group are all large companies with real products, long standing reputations and corporate infrastructure. It doesn't take a genius to sell their products, particularly when supported by parent companies and an army of advisers. I accept that Grecco may have been a star in those environments. The point is that Mytec is a startup and needs an entrepreneur with vision, flair, creativity and true intellect. Tomko had it. Grecco doesn't.

Now I admit Tomko had a few shortcomings of his own, but if both Tomko and Grecco had the benefit of a real and immediately available market, I'd put my money on Tomko when it comes to selling new technology in a creative way. Grecco strikes me as a widget salesman who was elevated to higher management positions. He is a "me too" in a sea of mediocrity. And that just won't cut it in the Biometric business.

In fairness, the job would be tough for many experienced managers since the market isn't developed yet. In fact, I doubt I could do much better, but then again, I'd be man enough to admit it and would stay the hell out. Grecco strikes me as a mercenary and will milk the deal until there's nothing left.

I have nothing against him personally. I just don't think that he's serving the interests of the shareholders.

Finally, I have started to sell off some of my shares. Diversification sounds like a good idea. But all the same, I'll be watching this one for a long time to come. It's a real hobby for me.
