Chuck,

I just went ahead and added a second system using lan cards. I still haven't gotten them to connect yet. As you say the software side is tough if you have never connected a network together. I guess I need help finding where I'm making a mistake, I may just have a defective cable? But it is new?

I haven't spent the time yet but using more than one layout is more efficient then trying to bunch everything on one screen. Right now I use tradewind charts first and have the background full of charts. Then I maximize SE layout. At one time I used a split screen 1/2 TWcharts/1/2 SE, but now I'm following too many stocks for that to be useful.
So, I maximize one screen at a time off my task bar then put everything back on the task bar when I want to see my RT charts. I am usually running about 5 browser screens and manage them in this way.

One layout I like is just TS windows. The other layout is Quote window/porfoilio. Sometime these layouts change daily.

I think we need some "always stay on top"(foreground) preferences. I would love to be able to save some TW charts on a SE layout and be able to keep in the foreground.

Jeff

Where's L2 gone today??? Just get a "NO L2" on stocks now...

I'm also getting a curious error on charts today: On EGGS Interval if you zoom into the action around 14 1/2, the range goes: 14 3/8, 14 7/16, 15 1/2, 14 3/16, 14 5/8. The graph points to the right number, but it's on a wrong point of the graph if you understand what I mean...

I use SE Online 4.5 on NT 4.0 SR3. We ought to be paid to be beta testers, actually...

Thanks Chuck, keep me informed on the monitor / Windows 98 thing. Seems like a few good options should be out there for cards / displays etc. I'm looking too - hmmm sounds like an opportunity in there for someone (a hardware version of Windows !?).

I plan on checking out the @Home capability. This sounds like a must get. I know a few others that have been saying the same thing. That, I must admit, does in the good old satellite feed.

Regards

jp

I am having trouble retreiving news--I left click
on headline indicator which brings up text manager--

I get a green OK and a yellow 'trying NS' which changes
to a red 'No NS'

If I try to search the news database, I get a message
'system has performed an illegal operation"--close message.

Am I missing something?
