Appoints Director for
Non-Ferrous Commercial
Development

Recycling Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: RECY), a company engaged in
the acquisition, consolidation, and operation of metals recycling
companies, today announced that Daniel C. Gascoyne will join the
Company as Director of Non-Ferrous Commercial Development. Mr.
Gascoyne will be responsible for the coordination of non-ferrous
activities of Recycling Industries' 42 facilities and will provide
operational and commercial expertise in the Company's ongoing
acquisition program.

Mr. Gascoyne has spent 26 years in the metals recycling industry, and
joins Recycling Industries from Industrial Recycling Services, Inc. where
he served as President. Prior to his tenure at Industrial Recycling
Services, Mr. Gascoyne served as Vice President of Frank H Nott Inc.,
General Manager-West Coast Division of Commercial Metals Company,
and Purchasing Manager- Southern and Western Purchasing Areas
AMAX Copper Inc. He has served on the Board of Directors for the
Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), Chairman of the wire
chopping and copper subcommittee, and has been a speaker at several
congressional subcommittee hearings on government stockpiling of
metals.
